DCS World smoke rendering still broken on Linux Mint + Lutris with DXVK 2.7.1 on NVIDIA RTX 3060 #5568

Description

@silentcobralord

Software information

Game: DCS World
Platform: Linux Mint via Lutris
Problem: Smoke effects render incorrectly when DXVK is enabled. If DXVK is disabled, the smoke renders correctly, but other rendering breaks (for example black aircraft and broken map rendering).
Mods/addons: Saved Games mods were disabled for testing.

System information

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060
  • Driver: 580.126.09
  • Wine version: wine-staging-11.2-x86_64
  • DXVK version: 2.7.1

Apitrace file(s)

  • None

Log files

  • No DXVK d3d11/dxgi logs were generated in the DCS World folder
  • DCS repair was run
  • Saved Games mods were removed/disabled
  • fxo and metashaders2 were cleared
  • Older DXVK versions were also tested and did not fix the issue
  • The environment-variable workaround mentioned in issue DCS World smoke effect #4327 did not fix the issue on my system

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch DCS World through Lutris on Linux Mint with DXVK enabled
  2. Use smoke / flares in mission
  3. Observe broken smoke rendering

Actual behavior

Smoke renders incorrectly with DXVK enabled.

Expected behavior

Smoke should render normally.

Additional details

Disabling DXVK fixes the smoke rendering, but then other rendering becomes broken, including black aircraft / broken map rendering.

I also found the existing issue #4327. That issue appears closed, but on my setup the problem is still present with DXVK 2.7.1.
